WAYS TO PREPARE FOODS WITH THE FRY MIX:
1. Make a pancake like wet batter: Pour the fry mix into a bowl, add enough water to make a tempura style batter. (about 1:1 ratio with a bit more water than batter)
It is best to make it thin instead of thicker since the mix is salty enough that double dipping can make it too salty so be careful.
Now, dip the chicken or meat or veggie into the wet batter and allow the excess to drip off. Then, put the dry mix into a bag. Drop the protein or veggie into the bag and shake shake shake. Voila! Now, you can deep fry only. Do not use the air fryer for this process.
NOTE: deep frying will have a different flavor profile for the salt and spice levels because the oil takes away some spiciness. But, please try each method to determine your favorite one.
2. EASIEST, no prep at all (and still TASTY): Dip your protein or veggie in water only. Then, drop it into the dry mix and shake shake shake. Spray with oil spray for crispiness on both sides of the food so you don’t have to flip in the middle of cooking. Use an air fryer for this process! If you decide to deep fry, please make sure to follow #1 instructions.
#2 tastes just as great from the air fryer when coated right.
